Studies have suggested that periodontal disease can be linked to other health issues such as heart disease, premature low birth rate babies and diabetes. However periodontal disease and gingivitis can easily be avoided with the proper dental care. By brushing and flossing everyday, patients can lessen plaque buildup which in turn helps to keep gum disease and tartar away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is recommended that you visit with your dentist at least once every six months for a cleaning and screening. While it is important that you get your teeth cleaned, a typical dental appointment can indicate much more than just oral health problems. When our Doctors examine you during your visit you will also be screened for other health issues such as oral cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
