Dr. Dua likes helping patients understand the care they need and why it’s important, guiding them through any anxieties so they can get the treatment that will benefit them most. He also loves working with a great team that shares his passion for our patients and community, saying that it makes every day rewarding and meaningful.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
A Hockessin local, Dr. Dua is an alumnus of Sanford High School. He graduated from Villanova University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Dr. Dua went on to earn his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, where he received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. He then completed his General Practice Residency through ChristianaCare Health Services.
Having joined Dental Associates of Delaware in 2009, Dr. Dua has expanded his expertise as a general dentist. Dr. Dua is certified to practice oral sedation dentistry with training from DOCS Education, allowing him to safely and effectively treat patients with dental anxieties and fears. He takes the time to educate his patients on all procedures and, alongside his kind and attentive staff, provides a calming environment to keep his patients at ease.
Dr. Dua is also a certified provider of Invisalign® and Six Month Smiles cosmetic braces. His professional associations include the American Dental Association, First State Implant Study Group, and the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he is not in the office, Dr. Dua enjoys spending time with his wife, Michele, and their two children. Now that his kids have both started youth sports and dance, you can always find Dr. Dua playing catch or cheering on his kids from the sidelines. He is an avid sports fan, deeply loyal to all Philadelphia teams.
