Joseph L. Cornatzer, DMD
Dr. Joseph Cornatzer graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2003 earning his Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Prior to attending Nova, Dr. Cornatzer attended Rowan University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Cornatzer practiced dentistry in the United States Air Force upon graduating from Nova Southeastern where he earned the rank of Captain. During this time Dr. Cornatzer gained an extensive amount of experience as he was responsible for the dental care of the airmen at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, GA. It was an honor for him to serve his country during this time of his career. Dr. Cornatzer joined Dental Associates of Delaware at the completion of his military service. He is a member of the Delaware State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, Psi Omega dental fraternity and a Medicaid provider for the State of Delaware.
Dedicated, professional and caring-Dr. Cornatzer possesses a wealth of knowledge and wisdom with over 20 years of pre-dental and dental experience. With his warm, charismatic demeanor, Dr. Cornatzer welcomes the opportunity to treat your entire family. He remains properly educated on the most modern dental methods, practices and technologies. Each month Dr. Cornatzer attends Spear Study Club meetings with his colleagues as part of his continuing education. His interests encompass all aspects of dentistry for both adult and pediatric patients. He provides Invisalign and Six Month Smiles orthodontic treatments, dental implants, sophisticated cosmetic smile makeovers, high-quality restorative dentistry and even Botox for his patients. Dr. Cornatzer is able to accommodate and treat nervous, apprehensive patients in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. If necessary, sedation dentistry with the assistance of an anesthesiologist can be provided by Dr. Cornatzer.
During his free time, you can find Dr. Cornatzer attending his daughters’ sporting events with his wife, Kristen. He also loves traveling with his family, reading, playing tennis, exercising and spending time at the shore during the summer.

Amit Dua, DMD
A local of Hockessin, Delaware, Dr. Dua is an alumnus of Sanford High School. He graduated from Villanova University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Dr. Dua went on to earn his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia where he received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. He then completed his General Practice Residency at Christiana Care Health Services, Department of Hospital Dentistry.
Having joined Dental Associates of Delaware in 2009, Dr. Dua has expanded his expertise as a general dentist. Dr. Dua became certified to practice Oral Sedation Dentistry with training from DOCS Education, allowing him to safely and effectively treat patients with dental anxieties and fears. He takes the time to educate his patients on all procedures and, alongside his kind and attentive staff, provides a calming environment to keep his patients at ease. Moreover, Dr. Dua is a certified provider of Invisalign and Six Month Smiles cosmetic braces. Dr. Dua’s top goal is to provide quality care, so that his patients have healthy smiles. Dr. Dua’s professional associations include the American Dental Association, First State Implant Study Group, and Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Dua enjoys spending time with wife, Michele, and their children, Jay and Lila. Now that his children have both started youth sports and dance, you can always find Dr. Dua having a catch with his son or along the sidelines cheering on his kids. He is an avid sports fan, deeply loyal to all Philadelphia teams. In his little spare time, Dr. Dua enjoys playing golf and traveling with his family.

H. Dean McSpadden, DDS, MAGD
Dr. McSpadden is a native of Wilmington who graduated from Friends School in 1967. After working as a musician for 5 years, he graduated with honors from the University of Delaware in 1976, from the state University of Buffalo School of Dentistry in 1980 and completed an internship at Wilmington Hospital in 1981. Dr. McSpadden received a Fellowship from The Academy of General Dentistry in 1985 and became a Master in the Academy in 2005. He is a member of the Delaware State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Restorative Dentistry and is past President of the Delaware State Dental Board. Dr. McSpadden is an authorized provider of Six Month Smiles (cosmetic braces) and Invisalign. As a member of The Crown Council, Dr. McSpadden has been involved with the National Smiles for Life Foundation that has raised over $20 million for children’s charities. Dr. McSpadden and his staff raised over $100,000 in Delaware for this cause.
